Yakusoku Kumite - Simplified
Yakusoku Kumite translates as pre-arranged sparring.
The following is based off of the original 10 sets of yakusoku kumite, I have reworked it in order to make it simpler to remember. At the end of the day these are techniques for us to learn and the ordering and grouping should be such that it is easy to learn. I have removed some duplicate techniques that were found within this set or were duplicates of basic bunkai we already do.
Video
Note: Some of the techniques in the video differ from what is written on this page. This page is a mix of David Reddaway Sensei's notes, the notes in the IOGKFNZ instructor's manual, what is shown in the video, and some additional editing to for things like spelling and for clarification of the instructions.
The number of applications shown in the video also differs from what is written here. IOGKNZ's notes feature 41 techniques, Reddaway Sensei's notes feature 43 techniques, while the video features only 35 by my count.

Bend fingers back, simultaneously turn and move backwards to drag opponent.
Use Morote Age-Uke before grip established, grab fingers of one hand and push forward then back in a circular motion to take down.
If the opponent has secured a grip, strike to eyes with Nukite-Zuki then Morote Age-Uke and grab fingers.
Set 7 - Misc crap

Strike Hidari Kinteki-Uchi, and Suriashi forward, hooking your right foot around your opponent's right foot.
Press your knee into their knee at a 45° angle to straighten their leg and take them off balance, while pressing with your right arm to help knock them over.
Finish with Fumikomi-Geri.
Note: the video above is missing the Kinteki Uchi.
Step back into Hidari Zenkutsu Dachi, blocking Hidari Jodan Age-Uke
Strike Migi Gedan Nukite-Zuki (Kinteki-Uchi), catch your opponent's wrist, and step forward (right foot) into Shiko-Dachi
Stick your right arm between your opponent's legs, and pull with your left arm while raising your right arm, bringing your opponent up onto your shoulders like a fireman's carry.
Finish by throwing them onto their head. This is Kata Guruma Nage aka shoulder wheel throw.
Hidari Jodan Shotei-Uke (pushing blocking arm across the face), while stepping left leg forward into Shiko-Dachi and striking Migi Gedan Nukite-Zuki.
Then use your left arm to attack opponent’s throat, shift your front leg behind attackers’ knee and turn your body clockwise, while your left arm presses back counter-clockwise, to throw with a scissor action.
Finish with Migi Ushiro-Geri (aim for the attacker's head, which will be behind you at this point).
Set 4 - Shisochin/Sanseiru Theme
Move to the left while performing Morote Hiki-Uke.
Step in front of the attacker's right leg while pressing and rolling the arm to perform a throw. This is similar to the Shisochin elbow lock but, target the upper bicep instead of the elbow, and pull their hand back to your hip.
Either the attacker will be driven into the ground or they will have to roll out of the lock.
Use Hidari Gedan-Barai Uke to receive the kick and scoop leg, then use Migi Jodan Shotei-Oshi to push opponent back.
Grab their gi with your right hand for safety, then use Migi Ashi-Barai to throw.
Punch Jodan to finish.
Hasami-Uke to catch leg (as in Sanseiru) and Migi Tsumasaki-Geri (toe kick) to point behind groin.
Insert your leg between their legs, with your right foot pressing on their left leg's knee, while your right knee is on top of their left leg.
Straighten your right leg (pushing on their knee) and press downwards with your knee on their right leg to collapse their posture and take them down (retain hold of their leg).
Migi Kansetsu-Geri to groin, and throw their leg across their body to turn them away from you.
Guard with Hidari Jodan Juji-Uke, and scoop up with your left arm to catch their leg.
Next use right-hand to strike opponent's face or push against their right arm to trap it if they guard.
Grab their collar with your right hand for safety, then sweep their supporting leg with your right leg, while lifting them to throw.
Finish with Fumikomi-Geri.
Note: If you lift their leg high, and press down hard, you will drive their head into the floor.
Set 5 - Throws & Takedowns
Step forwards with the right leg as you parry with Hidari Yoko Shotei-Uke and strike Migi Jodan Shotei-Zuki (like in Shisochin).
Drop downwards, catch their left heel using your left hand, and push down at a 45° angle with your right forearm into their hip joint/groin area to collapse their posture.
Continue moving forwards as you do this, and stand upwards to help complete the takedown, finish with Fumikomi-Geri
Note: Alternatively, if you do not stand up, you can finish with Nukite-Zuki or Shotei-Otoshi.
Simultaneously block with Hidari Jodan Yoko-Uke and strike with Migi Shotei Uchi to the ear (like Seiyunchin kata bunkai).
Then with your left hand catch the opponent's wrist, wrap your right-arm round the back of their neck, turn your hips into your opponent's hips, support attacker's weight over hips and throw with Kubi-Nage (neck throw).
Finish with arm bar.
Block Hidari Jodan Age-Uke, and strike Migi Gedan Nukite (Kinteki-Uchi)
Grab opponent's right wrist with your left hand, turn counter-clockwise to twist your hips into your opponent's, while your right-hand grasps under their left shoulder.
Support attacker's weight over your hips and throw Ippon-Seoi-Nage (One-armed shoulder throw).
Finish with arm lock.
As opponent tackles, block them and Migi Hiza Geri to their chest.
After the attacker grabs you, reach forward and grab their belt, then drive your foot to the ground, breaking out of the knee grab, and sit down, driving the attacker's head into the ground.
Alternatively you could leave your knee pressed against their chest and drop downwards onto your back, straightening your captured leg to lever them and throw them over your head (Tomoe-Nage).
As attack comes in fast, throw a hand in the air as a decoy, simultaneously drop your body into Koshi-Dachi and as your opponent loses balance take weight on shoulders and throw backward.
Note: The last two items in this set are recorded as one attack/defence in the IOGKFNZ notes and Reddaway Sensei's notes but I believe this is an error and have split them apart.
Set 6 - Juuji Uke Kick Defenses
Move to the outside while using Migi Gedan Sukui-Uke to catch under the leg.
Use left arm to strike throat/face, grab their collar with left hand for safety, and then use left knee under their butt to bump and lift them off their feet, while pressing backward and down with your left hand to throw them.
Finish with punch/arm lock.
Note: Careful with the pressing of the left hand/arm as it will rotate them so they land on their head if you push enough.
Block with Soto Yoko Juji-Uke, use left hand to catch their leg.
Use your right hand to grip behind their neck, and push down on the neck (pushing their head between their legs), while pivoting backwards on your left foot (clockwise) to throw them in a spiral motion. This will cause them to flip, or drive their head into the floor.
Boshi-ken to the eyes to finish.
Migi Yoko Juji-Uke (push to spin the opponent away from you) and step behind opponent.
With each hand get a grip on their clothing/hair and pull them down, kick or Ashi-Barai the back of their leg to assist.
Punch Jodan to finish.
Set 7 - No Theme
Tai-Sabaki and pivot to the side, block with hasami uke (scissor block) and bring your right arm comes underneath and upward, both arms press on the either side of the punching arm to trap it (ends up looking like Sanchin Kamae).
Next reach over with your left hand to grab the right wrist of the attacker, at the same time twist your body clockwise to apply pressure to the elbow and lock opponent's arm.
Turn counter-clockwise (pivoting on your right leg), bend their wrist and swing their arm around as your twist to lock it (Kote-Gaeshi, wrist lock), this will cause them to fall.
Grip fingers, pull down and out on joints, Hiza-Geri or Hiji-Ate. (Similar to Shisochin Bunkai)
Jodan Morote Hiki-Uke, pull arm straight, press left palm against thier shoulder joint. step forward as you push and 'throw' the arm in a circular motion to takedown.
Jodan Morote Hiki-Uke while moving outside to the left, reach with your right hand to grab back of their neck and then pull opponent down while you throw Migi Hiza-Geri while moving forward.
Pull opponent forward and down, strike Otoshi Hiji-Ate to their neck.
Set 8 - Joint Locks & Takedowns
Jodan Morote Hiki-Uke, catch wrist and elbow, lock arm (figure four), and throw backwards.
Apply figure four wrist lock to finish.
Hidari Jodan Hiki-Uke (stay on the inside) and grasp opponent's wrist with your left hand, while striking Migi Jodan Gyaku Shotei-Zuki.
Then use your right forearm to their left arm, and press against their elbow joint (on the inside of their arm).
Step outside their front foot and Tai-Sabaki (turn counter-clockwise) + Ashi-Waza (sweeping the leg), while pressing your forearm against their elbow joint to throw them.
Suriashi to the left while using Migi Hiki-Uke and catching wrist.
Strike Hidari Jodan Shuto-Uchi, and press to break their balance (similar to Gekisai Dai ichi takedown). Fall backwards to take your opponent to ground.
While on the ground, kick to their head, and finish with Ne-Waza(apply ground techniques: chokes, wrist/elbow locks, etc).
Hidari Hiki-Uke, use left hand to reverse lock elbow from underneath (as in Seisan kata).
Migi Hiji-Ate to face and then reap with right leg to throw.
